Final Fantasy VII content is now in the forefront of gaming media yet again and Tim can't stop mesmerizing over it. But before we start drooling over new content incoming we go over other current updates in the medium as we reach the ending of Fake3. Stalker 2 gets a very heart-wrenching dev diary, Resident Evil Village has lots of content incoming, new details on Starfield that better maps out their plans of addressing concerns after the showcase, new important details that explains the gameplay mechanics of As Dusk Falls, Digimon Survive gets a new trailer and release date, we finally get news on what is upcoming for Dragon's Dogma, and lastly we go over the many fantastic announcements from Final Fantasy VII Anniversary Celebration and go over the importance of Final Fantasy VII in general.
We go deep into the Xbox/Bethesda Showcase which for me is one of the best showcases we got since that 2015 PlayStation E3 of Dreams! Lots of very big reveals which fully cement my recent discussions on Xbox going big for Japan and Japan fully embracing them for the first time in history and we also finally get a Starfield gameplay revealing that went more into depth than expected! Also if you check my predictions from the previous episode you'll see that the Gods has gifted me with future knowledge that I will now use to only focus on video games and nothing more! We also pick a few games from Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley to highlight. Than the 2nd half of the show I get to go into a deep dive with a special guest, Corbin from The Nerdosphere about his show's origins, future goals, production, the struggles of keeping a show/brand going strong while always having something new on the backburner, plus spiraling into great nerdy randomness like DND and Marvel!
FakE3 is upon us! We just got a 3rd party/PSVR2 State of Play from Sony that was far better than we expected so we go deep into that! Then because the only "Real E3" part of this summer is Microsoft doing a normal E3 type showcase on Sunday June 12, we give a very in-depth predictions bit for that showcase. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet got a second trailer and a new website which both give lots more detail on the new game with the biggest news being the fact that they are now calling this new game "An Open World RPG", which they never have done before. We then get into other gaming news like PS+ monthly games, Twisted Metal TV series update, Sonic Frontiers gameplay footage, and a new console from Sega!
Sadly no E3 is happening this year but we still try to dissect what gaming news is happening in the first half of June including a State of Play but only on 3rd party and PS VR2 content. There will be lots of shows but will there be any of substantial substance besides the Xbox/Bethesda showcase? Later we discuss PlayStation set on overcoming the supply constraint issue and their plan to even surpass their PS4 system, plus some new game announcements and delays.
